Ian Redman was born and raised in Seattle, WA. He attended Lakeside Highschool, Trinity College for a BA in Economics, and has spent 5 years working as a Marketing professional in the Puget Sound area.
His career began in 1999 at Atom Films, a new-media internet start-up. Over the course of a Summer, Ian proved his value as a team player and moved from answering phones and helping with operations to working for the marketing, HR, and executive teams. Ian was solely responsible for the media library, online customer communications, and street team participation. This company was bought by Spielberg's DreamWorks Studio, which was later sold to EA Sports as DreamWorks Interactive.
He then went on to Imagio, an emerging-media marketing agency, and worked as an intern for a team of account executives providing assistance with research, brief creation, and community outreach for clients such as Nautilus, and Microsoft. This company was bought by the international marketing agency, J Walter Thompson in 2001.
In 2007, Ian joined a boutique traditional marketing agency, EXCLAIM, to provide account support for two partners, working with clients such as University of Washington Medicine, and the Seattle Convention and Visitors Bureau. His responsibilities included client communications, sales documents, media plans, production schedules, and client invoicing. In his 3rd year with EXCLAIM, Ian introduced a social media marketing system both for EXCLAIM & for their clients.
Currently, Ian is Head Creature of Reputation Management and Coordination at Social Creature Media an emerging social media marketing agency in Seattle, WA. His responsibilities include monitoring SCM's clients' reputations, and sourcing sales, outreach, new-media, & content opportunities. He also assists with business development, and various projects for the executive team.
