Glenn Terrell is a 25 year senior marketing professional with extensive expertise in developing regional and national campaigns for clients such as Nike, Nike +, Adidas, Home Depot, and Verizon Wireless in digital and traditional media.
A brand marketer by training, Glenn is the old dude in the stable of Social Creature Media's rising stars of content managers and social media wizards. Cutting his professional chops as an account supervisor on national-branded product campaigns for a division of Ogilvy and Mather, Glenn entered the digital world in the mid 90s. His experiences involved creating digital media campaigns for national brands and retail chains such as Home Depot, Westin Hotels/Starwood, Lowes Hardware, Nike, and Adidas, just to name a few. While residing in Portland, Glenn was a partner in of the companies that helped Nike launch Nike +, Nike's social network for their running category
In 2006, Glenn moved back to his roots in Seattle, eventually ending up at Entercom Broadcasting where he met Social Creature Media founder, Josh Dirks. The two hit it off immediately, seeing that a seismic shift was about to transform the way brands and companies interacted with their customers. AND, that there was finally a way to give clients something beyond traditional media's smoke and mirrors: Measurable ROI...
Like other members of the Senior Creatures, Glenn has a 360-degree view of the integration of the business process with social media content, how online interaction has offline implications, and that traditional branding still plays a key role in this Brave New World. As a former business owner, Glenn sits on the client's side of the table and is well-versed at viewing the world through their eyes. With this experience, he brings a mind and perspective on how a brand's assets can be integrated in ways that drive measureable ROI, and how a voice can live on past when a spot schedule or ad stops running. His straight-shooting sometimes gets him in trouble with people who are reluctant to embrace the titanic change that is occurring in the world of media... but you never get a glossed over opinion from Glenn.
Glenn has two grown sons, spends as much time as he can outdoors, and wishes Social Creature Media would open a tropical branch at some point in the not too distant future.
